The Investment Ecosystem Academy hosts the online course Advanced Due Diligence and Manager Selection. Other courses will be added over time.
Two-day due diligence workshops were held prior to the pandemic. If you would prefer to gather with members of other organizations in a workshop setting rather than taking an online course, send an email to be put on a waiting list to be notified when the workshops resume.
Training options for organizations
Virtual and in-person development sessions are available on a variety of topics, which vary by the kind of organization involved. Some of the common topics:
Due diligence: The Investment Ecosystem is the source for practical training for allocators on the “how” of due diligence. In addition to the offerings described above, customized sessions for organizations can cover a broad range of content or focus on key topics.
Communication: How can investment people learn to communicate more effectively and avoid the common pitfalls that they encounter? Some problems are universal and others are based upon particular roles or kinds of organizations, so the training is tailored in response.
Innovation: Dealing with the changing ecosystem requires adaptation at the very least, but systematic innovation is the key to building a successful organization. Training sessions can cover a number of dimensions of the innovation puzzle.
Investment committees and teams: From asset managers to asset owners to investment advisory firms and beyond, group decision making processes can hamper effectiveness or make the most of the skills of those involved. Nothing is more important that making those groups work well.
